Join a TOPS Wellness Challenge!
TOPS Wellness Challenges are designed for miles completed at TOPS parks. While we hope you complete your miles at one of our five parks, these programs are designed to help you maintain and enhance your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. If you earn miles at the gym, your local park, or even around your neighborhood, please count those miles toward your challenge goals.

TOPS Holiday Hustle • ‘Tis the season to step it up and beat the Holiday 5!
Walk, Run, or Roll 50 miles between November 1 and December 31 and earn a holiday reward. This program is FREE to the community. To be eligible for the prize, all participants MUST be registered by December 4. Register online at olander.recdesk.com or give us a call at 419.882.8313, ext. 1004.
This log is available for download online by clicking HERE. It is also available for pickup inside the lobby of the Callahan Administrative Office and outside of the Nederhouser Community Hall beginning October 19.
While we hope you complete your miles at one of our five parks, this program is designed to help you maintain and enhance your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. If you earn miles at the gym, your local park, or even around your neighborhood, estimate your mileage as close as possible and record it on your log. Remember to be honest, because you’re only cheating yourself! Prizes will be available for pickup beginning December 14.

TOPS 365 Wellness Challenge
January 1 to December 31, 2021
Residents & Members: $5; Non-Residents: $15
Your Goal: Complete 365 miles by the end of 2021!
Are you ready to take on the Challenge? Register today! You will receive a journal with registration. Then, earn rewards when you reach the 180 and 365 mile-mark. Are you an overachiever? Earn a special reward for completing 500 miles!
Monthly walks and health-themed giveaways will help you stay focused and meet your wellness goals throughout the year. Stay tuned for the scheduled dates. Please note: Group walks have been suspended until further notice due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
The TOPS Challenge is designed for miles completed at TOPS parks, however, if you walk, run, bike, rollerblade, and/or kayak at the Metroparks, your neighborhood, a treadmill, or any other location other than TOPS parks, estimate your mileage as close as possible and record it on your log. Be honest, because you’re only cheating yourself!

Spring is officially here (we hope)! The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, so let’s celebrate the joys, benefits, and health effects of walking!

Participants can earn miles by walking, running, biking, rollerskating, etc. While we would love for you to earn your miles at TOPS parks, miles can be earned at your local park or around your neighborhood. We just want to encourage you to move more!

Group walks have been postponed due to the Covid-19 crisis. We will resume group walks as soon as it is deemed safe by the CDC and Ohio Health Department. Please stay tuned to our website and social media pages for when the walks will resume.
We encourage you to continue walking/biking/running if you are healthy, have not been in contact with someone exposed to Covid-19, and you are able to maintain social distancing of 6-ft. Please follow the recommendations of your doctors, the CDC, and the local health department.
All parks will remain open until we are directed otherwise by the local health department.

Have you ever wondered how to tap a maple tree? Come out to Olander Park on Monday, February 24 at 4pm to watch us tap our Maple Tree to get ready for our 10th Annual Maple Sugaring Festival on Sunday, March 22, 11am to 2pm.
Friday, February 7, 9:30am
Congrats on completing your first month of the TOPS 365 Wellness Challenge! Let’s kick February into gear with a 1.1-mile walk around Olander Park. Meet at the Nederhouser Community Hall at 9:30am on Friday, February 7. Pre-registration is not required but appreciated. Hot chocolate and coffee will be offered after the walk.
One lucky wellness participant will win a coupon for a free Zumba or Yoga class at Olander Park!
Thursday, January 23, 12pm
Join us for a 2-mile walk along the Quarry Ridge Trail at Fossil Park. Don’t forget to count these miles toward your challenge goal. Haven’t received your walking log or registered yet? Come at 11:45am to register. One lucky winner will receive a TOPS lunchbag. Meet at the Info Board. Fossil Park is located at 5705 Centennial Rd., Sylvania, OH 43560.
Saturday, January 4, 10:30am
Join us for a 1.1-mile walk around Olander Park. Receive your walking log and pedometer. Haven’t registered yet? Come at 10:15am to register. One lucky winner will receive a coupon for free Zumba or Yoga class at Olander Park. Meet at the Callahan Administrative Office.
