Seasonal Fishing, Boat Shop and Beach Swimming
The Swim Beach & Boat Shop are now closed for the 2020 season.
Olander Lake observes all Ohio fishing regulations. Ohio requires a fishing license for those 16-65 years of age. The Boat Shop does not sell licenses or rent fishing poles. Boat access for Lake Olander will open Memorial Day weekend. Please be responsible and follow all safety protocols.
Bringing Your Own Boat to Olander? Please follow these rules for your safety:
Small, electric motors only
Must be off water 1 hour before park closing
Life jackets are required to be carried on board all personal watercrafts – one per person
All passengers younger than 11 years of age onboard a vessel must be wearing a life jacket
Life jackets must be worn at all times when operating a Stand Up Paddleboard on Lake Olander
Let us know you are on the water – check in with a TOPS staff member at the Maintenance Shop

Park access is free for residents of the Sylvania School District. For all others, the parking rates are as follows:
October-mid April, free;
Late April-September: $3 per car Monday thru Thursday; $5 per car Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Major holiday weekends: $7 per car
Additional fees apply for boat rentals and swimming.
Olander Park offers three rental facilities: Nederhouser Community Hall and two open-air shelters. View our rentals page for details on amenities, rates, available dates and to book a facility. Please note: No new reservations are being accepted through December 31, 2020 due to the ongoing health crisis. Reservations are being accepted for 2021.
Lake Olander Winter Activities
TOPS opens Lake Olander for winter use if and when it achieves a consistent 7 inches of clear blue ice. Until this occurs, Red Flags fly at various locations around the lake to indicate unsafe conditions. When the depth reaches the necessary figure, Green Flags signal the ice is safe. Closed for the season.

All TOPS Parks are OPEN. To protect the community and our staff, TOPS has taken the following measures:
Park Access Changes: All parking lots are open.
Fall Amenities: The Fossil Park Digging Pit is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through mid-October. Admittance is by online reservation.

Maintain appropriate physical distancing and avoid congregating
