Olander Park is the 60-acre recreational oasis of Sylvania and Sylvania Township. Its spring-fed 28-acre lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and swimming. The park's 1.1-mile paved ADA-accessible loop around Lake Olander is ideal for walking, jogging, rollerblading, and bicycling.
SORRY but The Olander Park System does NOT allow PETS in Olander Park.
Additional features include four playgrounds, two sand volleyball courts, restrooms, concession machines, and seasonal boat rentals and bait shop.
TOPS maintains other Sylvania area sites including Whetstone Park, Southview Oak Savanna, Sylvan Prairie Park, Quarry Ridge Bike Trail, and Fossil Park.

FISHING Lake Olander follows State of Ohio regulations enforced by Ohio Department of Natural Resources patrols. Ohio requires a fishing license from ages 16 to 65. The Bait Shop, open seasonally from late April through September, offers a limited selection of bait and related fishing supplies for your convenience, but does not sell fishing licenses nor sell or rent fishing poles.
PADDLEBOATS & ROW BOAT RENTALS The Boat & Bait shop is open 10 am to 6 pm weekends from late April through September 26, with daily hours from early June to late August.
You MUST be 16 years of age or older to rent a boat & 12 years or older to ride in one without an adult guardian. All Boat Rentals require a $5 deposit:
Paddleboats: $3 per half-hour, seats up to 3 people
Rowboats: $3 per hour, seats up to 4 people Fisherman's Special: Monday through Friday, $6 per day; holidays excluded
SWIMMING Lake Olander's all-natural Swim & Beach Facility is open seasonally from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Admission for Sylvania School District residents is $2 per person, and for all others $4 per person. Children 2 and under are free. Seasonal passes are available.
The Lake Olander Swim & Beach Facility has lifeguards on duty all open hours.
NEDERHOUSER COMMUNITY HALL & OPEN AIR SHELTER RENTALS Olander Park offers three rental facilities.
The Nederhouser Community Hall seats 160 people, with its beautiful deck overlooking scenic Lake Olander. It is the ideal venue for weddings, reunions, company and corporate events, birthday and anniversary parties, graduations, and all other activities. Rental for a 9-hour block of time is $350 Monday through Thursday and $550 Friday through Sunday. TOPS requires a Certificate of Insurance for all Nederhouser Community Hall events. The park system allows alcohol in the Hall but nowhere else in the park.
Olander features 2 open-air shelters that are perfect for reunions, company events, birthday and anniversary parties, graduations, and assorted programs. Each has a 4-foot charcoal grill and electrical outlets. Open Air #1 seats 80 people and rents for $50 Monday through Friday & $100 on Weekends. Open Air #2 seats 60 people and rents for $40 Monday through Friday & $80 on Weekends. Shelters are available until 2 hours prior to the posted closing of Olander Park.
TOPS prohibits ALCOHOL in the Open Air Shelters.
